Highprince Ruthar was a highprince of Alethkar on Roshar. His princedom was on Alethkar's eastern border.[2]

Appearance
Ruthar is brawny with a short black beard surrounding his mouth, and blue eyes.[3] Despite his high political and military rank, he dresses very informally. His colors are red and light blue.[4]

Duels
Ruthar lent out many of his Shardblades and Shardplate to be used in duels against Adolin. After Adolin Kholin wins all of the duels, all the Shards of his princedom were lost to the Kholin princedom. Only his personal Blade was left.[5]
