Kalami is a lighteyed historian of note on Roshar and a senior scribe of the Kholin house.[1][2] She has long dark hair and is married to Teleb.
She planned to write a history of the War of Reckoning and had gained permission to record meetings such as the discussion between Dalinar and Teleb on whether or not they would run a plateau assault.
After losing her husband in the Battle of Narak, she throws herself into her work as a historian and a scribe. She has done scholarly work on Vorin theory, so she could provide Dalinar with some information about the desolations.[3] She is also present to scribe the communication between Dalinar and the other monarchs on his first attempt to unify them against the voidbringers.[2]
