Insah is an ardent on Roshar. She served in the monastery at the Kholin warcamp on the Shattered Plains during the War of Reckoning. Her Devotary is not known, though it is not the same as Kadash's.[1]
While investigating Taln's disappearance, Dalinar visited the monastery and asked Kadash for information. Checking his ledgers, Kadash found that Taln had been under Insah's care in room thirty-seven of the prisonlike Shash building where mentally ill patients were held. He pointed Dalinar to her office, noting that she likely left the warcamp hurriedly after the Battle of Narak (presumably for Urithiru). In the office, Dalinar found a hole in the wall cut out with a Shardblade and a blackbane-tipped dart, reinforcing his belief that Taln disappeared because he really was a Herald. Dalinar also found a locked safe that he opened with Kaladin's help. He found Insah's records on Taln's treatment and later delivered them to Navani.[1]
