Hesina is a female darkeyes Alethi of the second nahn on Roshar.
She is the wife of Lirin, and the mother of Kaladin, Tien and Oroden.[2]
History
While her exact birthplace and parents are unknown, we do know that at least one of her parent's was a lighteyes[3] and she had definitely fallen in social standing since her childhood. [4] She likely did this to be with Lirin. When Lirin met her parents it went very badly.
Appearance and Personality
She is a few fingers taller than her husband and usually wears her hair tied up with a kerchief.[5] She is more religious that Lirin, believing in the power of glyphwards. She occasionally will burn one, or give one to Kaladin or Tien. [6] She is also known for her cleverness with words, and often banters with Kaladin. Lirin says once that Kaladin inherited some of that banter. While not a surgeon like Lirin, she will occasionally help him with basic work like boiling bandages. When Lirin is helping heal citizens after the Everstorm, she works as his assistant the way Kaladin used to.
