Sigzil is an Azish member of Bridge Four on Roshar.

Appearance and Personality

His skin is dark brown and his hair black, and he wears no beard. He has a Bridge 4 tattoo on his forehead.

History

Sigzil tried to kill a man and thought himself successful. It is implied that his actions were what led him to become a Bridgeman. [1]

He started off rather abrasive and shy, especially about his Worldsinging,[2] but began to tell stories and teach others about far off places like Marabethia,[1] Yulay,[3] and Babatharnam.[2]

He was promoted to lieutenant by Kaladin and appointed as clerk since he is the only member of Bridge Four who can read glyphs.[4][5]

Sigzil performed experiments using Kaladin as the primary subject to measure and document the extents of his Windrunner abilities.[6]

He was formerly an apprentice of Hoid who declared him a full Worldsinger to Kaladin before leaving the war camps in Way of Kings. When Kaladin tried to talk about Hoid, Sigzil refused, so the relationship of the two obviously was not without stress.
