Jor is an Alethi bouncer in a bar in Urithiru on Roshar. He attempts to flirt with Veil.[1]
Appearance and personality
Jor looks like a typical Alethi, with very short, black hair and dark skin. He is young and has some chin stubble.[1] He smiles and laughs constantly, and enjoys telling stories.[1] Veil finds him arrogant and slightly misogynistic, but he is also good-natured and honorable.[1]
History
Jor presumably lives in a warcamp on the Shattered Plains before the Battle of Narak and is among the many evacuees to Urithiru. He works as a bouncer in a low-end bar that Shallan selects as a good place to practice using her Veil persona.[1] He watches and laughs as Veil struggles to drink some strong alcohol, then sits next to her and flirts with her.[1] When he realizes that Veil is quickly getting drunk, he warns her that the area can be dangerous and offers to call a palanquin to take her home.[1] Veil manages to extract some information from Jor about the rumored location of a murder (All's Alley) before sobering up instantly through the use of Stormlight.[1] Jor and the bartender are left very confused as Veil casually exits the bar.[1]
