Droz is the helmsman of the ship First Dreams on Roshar.[1]
Appearance and personality
Droz is Liaforan. He is lanky and has dark brown eyes and skin. He is curious about Kaza's royal lineage and her Soulcasting savanthood, and strikes up a conversation with her before she scares him away.[1] As a helmsman, he successfully steers the First Dreams through a raging storm.[1]
History
Droz accompanies his captain Vazrmeb in pursuit of rumored hidden treasure on the island of Akinah in Aimia. He is eager to make the dangerous journey as he believes "generations" of greatshells have left their gemhearts on the island.[1]
First Dreams sails north from Liafor with a mercenary crew and encounters an intense storm on the Aimian Sea that abruptly ends near Akinah.[1] Droz manages to keep the ship afloat, although some of the crew are swept overboard.[1] He boards one of the ship's dinghies in an attempt to reach the island, but he is poisoned and killed along with the rest of the crew by the ship's cook, a native Dysian Aimian posing as a human.[1]
