The inkspren are a race of sentient spren that dwell primarily in the Cognitive Realm of Roshar.
They appear to be related to the Order of Elsecallers[1], the seventh Order of Knights Radiant, which has access to the Transformation and Transportation Surges.[2]
They tend to be attracted to people who are logical and willing to think through their decisions as opposed to acting on instinct.[3] Inkspren also dislike how humans change so often.[3]

They can, however, change their size drastically, allowing them to shrink to the point where they cannot be seen.[5]
