A nahn was a ranking system for darkeyes within Vorin societies. Each nahn marks a rank of citizenship, the first nahn was the highest - high enough for a darkeyes to marry a lighteyes - and sas nahn was the lowest - slavery.
The societal rankings of lighteyes were called dahns.
