Screech is the pet skyeel kept by the crew of the Wandersail.[1] Screech was well-liked by the crew and hunted rats onboard for them. She was killed by Nikli on the voyage to Akinah in an attempt to frighten the crew by creating a bad omen.[2][3][4] Nikli used blackbane to kill her, and later tried to blame Cord for Screech's death.[1]
