The Unclaimed Hills are part of the Frostlands bordering Alethkar to the east.[1]

Gavilar made an expedition to the Unclaimed Hills, where he encountered the Parshendi. This encounter lead to the discovery of chasmfiends, the source of the Parshendi's gems.[2] The Shattered Plains are in the Unclaimed Hills.[3]

The hills are rocky, covered with tough, retractable grasses, spiny plants, and scrub.[4]
