Crem

Crem — is a sludgy brown material that fell with rainwater—could make a man sick. One always let water sit for a day, then poured off the fresh water on top and used the crem to make pottery. The People of Sesemalex Dar are famous for their expert crem pottery.

But it has other uses as well. it is used when worming a filed to close the holes after removing the worm, so that the new worms can't infest the field again.

In Eighth Epoch, three thirty-seven Dalinar Kholin is in a Farmhous build out of Crembricks, and Shallan Davar consoders if the buildings of Kharbranth were made of crem.XXX3 When the Parshendi were diescovert it was observed that their buildings were simple buildings, which they construct of crem and stone. They build them in the craterlike rock formations here at the edge of the Shattered Plains.

Among the problems with crem are, that if there is still crem in the drinkingwater one will get sick. Also caverns are often sealed up by crem. the bigges probelm however is that icicle-like pendants of rock form on the edges of roofs. Highstorms dropped stormwater, and stormwater carried crem. If left alone, crem eventually hardened into stone. Buildings grew stalactites, formed by stormwater slowly dripping from the eaves. People had to clean them off regularly, or risk weighing down the roof so much that it collapsed.

Crem has been used as a derogatory term by several characters, likely referring to the notion that crem is stormleavings. Exempels are: "The crem of an army" or "one cremstaind mark".
