Worldbringers are a group of pre-Final Empire spiritual leaders and story tellers. They also formed a sect of the Terris.
History
Worldbringers are individuals who collected tales of history and folk traditions from any source, seeking out the most interesting stories that they can find.[1] Worldbringers eventually became made out of a majority of Feruchemists who used their Feruchemical abilities to create copperminds to assist them in this goal.[2][3] Despite this however it was not a requirement to have Feruchemy to be a member of the organisation as Hoid was a member at one stage despite lacking the ability.[1] Additionally, Hoid says that he is a Worldbringer to an audience while relaying the story of Tress.[1] Overtime the organisation developed an interest in studying philosophy and religion first and foremost, with inquiry into other subjects, such as nature, being met with criticism, but not being outright banned.[4] As part of this duty the organisation began to keep records of Terris Prophecies and sought out the Hero of Ages. As part of this goal Kwaan discovered Alendi and proclaimed him to be such,[5] over time however Kwaan grew doubtful of his previous claim and feared he was deceived somehow.[6][7]
Following the Ascension of the Lord Ruler the Worldbringers were wiped out. Their legacy was carried on by the Order of the Keepers during the Final Empire whom were inspired by their memory. The Keepers continued their work by preserving pre-Ascension knowledge of religion and other studies.[8]
Cosmere Connections
There is a connection between the Worldbringers and the Rosharan Worldsingers.[9][10][11] It is known that Hoid founded the Worldsingers[12] but it is unclear if this is the thing connecting the two groups.[10]
