Skyward 3 is the third book in the Skyward series by Brandon Sanderson. It is the sequel to Starsight. Brandon wanted to call the book Nowhere, though the publisher opposed the idea.[1] He ended up deferring to their request, and a new title has not yet been chosen.[2]

In a Reddit Q&A leading up to the release of the first book, Brandon stated that the trilogy would likely become a four book series.[3] In his 2018 State of the Sanderson, he stated that due to the amount of needed to complete Rhythm of War, Skyward 3 "[wouldn't] be written until 2020, for a spring 2021 release."[4] In the 2019 State of the Sanderson, this was updated to writing in late 2020 for a "likely" 2021 release.[5]
