An Allomancer burning duralumin is able to greatly enhance other metals they are burning. Feruchemists can use duralumin to store connection, and when used as a Hemalurgic spike, duralumin steals an unknown quality.

Allomantic Use

A duralumin Misting is known as a Duralumin Gnat. An Allomancer burning duralumin instantly uses up any metals being burned simultaneously, releasing an enormous burst of power from those metals. Duralumin itself is not completely consumed like metals it is burned in concert with, but it still continues to burn away at a steady rate.

It must be noted however that the effects of a duralumin push or pull could (seriously) hurt an Mistborn. While burning tin the Mistborn burning it could become to a shock as well as be temporarily be blind and deaf. Iron pull and steel push could become so strong it can feel like you are being torn apart. If this notion is realistic though is not proven.

While filling a duraluminmind, other people's awareness and friendship of the Feruchemist will be reduced. Tapping the metalmind will allow the user to form trust relationships with others much faster.

When used as a Hemalurgic spike, duralumin steals some unknown trait or quality.
