Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians: The Dark Talent will be the fifth and final book in the Alcatraz series.[1][2] Brandon has also referred to it as "Alcatraz versus His Own Stupid Self". It is currently planned for a mid-2016 release, following the Tor re-releases of the first four books.[Falta cita]

Cover Blurb

Alcatraz Smedry has successfully defeated the army of Evil Librarians and saved the kingdom of Mokia. Too bad he managed to break the Smedry Talents in the process. Even worse, his father is trying to enact a scheme that could ruin the world, and his friend, Bastille, is in a coma. To revive her, Alcatraz must infiltrate the Highbrary–known as The Library of Congress to Hushlanders–the seat of Evil Librarian power. Without his Talent to draw upon, can Alcatraz figure out a way to save Bastille and defeat the Evil Librarians once and for all?

Behind the Scenes

Brandon always planned for the Alcatraz series to consist of five books, however Scholastic, the original publisher, only bought the first four. For a variety of reasons, including Scholastic being unwilling to make a contract for the fifth book, Brandon bought back the rights in early 2013.[1] He later re-sold the series, including book 5, to Tor.[4]

Following a month of research for The Aztlanian, Brandon spent June 2014 writing the first draft of Alcatraz 5.[5]
