A focus is a specific magic-related term in the cosmere, something which "focuses" a magic system.
Magic Systems and Their Foci
- AonDor's focus are Aons
- The Metallic Arts' focus is metal[1]
- The focus of Awakening are the Commands[1]
It is not clear what foci exist on Roshar for Surgebinding. It has been suggested that Stormlight itself is the focus there, though it could be the spren.
