Plantilla:CharacterInfobox Renarin Kholin was a lighteyes from Alehtkar on Roshar.
He was the second son of Dalinar, and the younger brother of Adolin. Renarin was a proper, solemn young man although many people found his presence to be disturbing due to his tendency to pause when asked questions. He wore spectacles. In The Way of Kings, he was 19 years old. The kings Wit seemed to have a particular interest in Renarin and was generally much more good-natured and polite to him than to other lighteyes.
Renarin had a weakness in his blood that caused episodes of shaking unpredictably. Because of this, he had little practice with using a weapon, and no battle experience, however it was thought that if he obtained a set of Shardplate he may be able to overcome his blood-weakness and learn to fight effectively. Dalinar promised to give Renarin his Shardplate after being proclaimed Highprince of War.
