* Steris was deliberately written as autistic; Brandon felt like he did a poor job representing people on the spectrum with [[Adien]] in ''[[Elantris (book)|Elantris]]'', and so her and [[Renarin]] were written partially in an attempt to correct that.{{wob ref|10591}}
