The transition from mistwraith to kandra requires specific types of Hemalurgic spikes, and not just any kind of spike. For instance, if a mistwraith ate a [[koloss]], they would not become a true kandra, but there would be "very weird side effects".{{wob ref|4580}}

 

Like kandra they appeared to be amorphous blobs capable of absorbing bones and tissue of other creatures to gain shape. However, unlike kandra, since they do not possess sentience, their shapes were totally random and mixed many different species into one.
