Hello,

I am an editor on the site. I go by Debarra (he/him). I quite dislike redlinks hence this pages exitance. After being missing for virtually all of 2021 I have returned!

I hope you have a nice day. :)

Helped update and overhaul the Sel history section.

Current drafts being worked on;

Ashyn History

Like the rest of the Rosharan System Ashyn was designed by Adonalsium.[1][2]

It did not originally have an illness based magic system.[3][4] The civilisation on Ashyn managed to gain access to magic forbidden on Roshar, this magic included the surges.[5][6][7]

The use of Surgebinding was not controlled and this lead to the destruction of the planet.[6][7][5]

Due to the destruction its civilisation would attempt to flee. Eventually they reached Roasher as refugees and were accepted by the local populace.[5]

Planet inhabited by humans.

Odium arriving???

They came from another world, using powers that we have been forbidden to touch. Dangerous powers, of spren and Surges. They destroyed their lands and have come to us begging.

Destruction of planet with surges.

Retreat to Roshar.

The memory of Ashyn would effect Rosharn mythology.[8]

Patches of civilisation remained on Ashyn despite the devastation. The surviving cities took to the skys as floating cities. [9] It's magic system in modern times is based off illness,[10][4] however this was not always it's magic system.[3] The disease based magic works off a symbiotic relationship between investiture and bacteria.[11] One such disease allows the infected to make landmasses float, these are how Ashyn achieves it's famous floating cities.[12]

Modern Ashyn.
