'''Raoden''' was the only son of King [[Iadon]] and the crown prince of [[Arelon]].
For the majority of his life, he lived in the city of [[Kae]], just outside of [[Elantris]]. Ten years after the [[Shaod]], he underwent the transformation into an [[Elantrian]], a transformation that was, at the time, incomplete. As an Elantrian, he brought peace and civilization to the people living in Elantris, who had devolved into a primitive, bestial society. He eventually discovered the key to restoring Elantris, and succeeded in repelling the efforts of [[Wyrn]] in conquering both [[Arelon]] and [[Teod]].
