Brother of [[Shallan]]. His brothers are [[Asha Jushu]], [[Tet Wikim]], and [[Helaran]]. Helaran was the eldest son and called Nan Helaran, but when he mysteriously died, Balat became the eldest son and was called Nan Balat.
He has a fascination with killing animals, the only way he can 'preserve his sanity.'
