A '''nahn''' was a ranking system for darkeyes within [[Vorin]] societies. Each nahn marks a rank of citizenship, the first nahn was the highest, high enough for a darkeyes to marry a lighteyes{{ref|b|sa1|c|12}}. The second nahn granted full citizenship and the right to travel{{ref|b|twok|c|10}}, and also the possibility to marry lighteyes.{{ref|b|twok|c|25}}.
