There appear to be different types of mandras though, and Shallan pretty clearly notes that the ones she sees in Shadesmar are larger than she would expect based on the luckspren that appear in the Physical Realm

Mandras have triangular shaped heads,{{book ref|sa3|97}} , which are the exact same shape as those that are found near [[greatshell]]s in the Physical Realm.{{ref|name=Mandras}} They come in a variety of sizes;{{ref|name=Mandras}} the ones used for pulling ships in Shadesmar are much larger than luckspren that appear in the Physical Realm.{{book ref|sa3|99}} Their bodies are long, sinuous{{book ref|sa3|97}}{{book ref|sa3|99}} with multiple sets of legs{{ref|name=Mandras}} and multiple sets of undulating wings along their bodies.{{book ref|sa3|97}} The wings move at a regular rhythm.{{ref|name=Mandras}}
