When [[Spensa]] finds out about what really happened in the battle of Alta, the only person she opens to is Jorgen. She asks him not to fix but listen. He is able to comfort her.{{book ref|Skyward|44}}
In the second book [[Starsight]] Spensa once more confides in Jorgan to "Talk her out of doing something stupid" and he goes over the logical attributes of going on the mission to Starsight. He eventually after five minutes of consideration tells her to go and "trust her instincts" which makes Spensa jump up and kiss Jorgan. He remarkably kisses her back.
Later in the book he constantly thinks about Spensa and waits for Alanik to wake up so that he can ask her were Spensa went so that he can go and find her. But by the end of the book she has still not woken.
In the last chapter Jorgan goes down into the caves because he hears a faint music in the lower caverns. He takes [[Nedd Strong]] and [[Arturo Mendez]] down into the caverns to investigate and finds a hidden cavern full of Taynix (Doomslug the destroyers species)
