Before the fight, Hammond confides to Kelsier that while Demoux's fighting abilities are not great, he is a trustworthy man but he is no match for Bilg in a fair fight. Assisted by Kelsier's [[Allomancy]], Demoux wins the fight and Kelsier seizes the moment to invigorate his troops by proclaiming that Demoux had the arcane arts the [[Lord Ruler]] possessed, that they all might possess. Though Kelsier attempts to kill Bilg through Demoux, Demoux resists, and Kelsier soon changes his mind, allowing Bilg to live.

Demoux and his troops arrive at the [[Pits of Hathsin]] where the [[Terris]] survivors have settled. They restore order and lend organization to the Terris people who had been flooded with refugees.
