Blushweaver used this incident as an excuse to visit Mercystar with Lightsong. Blushweaver convinced her the attack had been done by an Idrian and join them in “preparing for war”. {{book ref|wb|23}}
 
[[Lightsong]] however was interested on how one person could have made so much “damage” but at the same time tried to kill the least. He went to her palace to ask questions. This seems to have help persuade Mercystar to give Blushweaver control of her Lifeless. {{book ref|wb|30}}
 
She sent her priests to the King’s palace via the tunnels, which helps Lightsong understand their existence and its importance. {{book ref|wb|38}}

Mercystar is supposed to hint at what a lot of the goddesses are like.
