A Vessel is a person who is in control of one of the Shards of Adonalsium. The original Vessels are thought to be Ati, Leras, Bavadin, Rayse, Aona, and Skai, among others. Over the course of time, a number of Shards have changed hands or have been Splintered, so the total number of Vessels is no longer sixteen.
