A clear indicator of his sword-fighting prowess is that on Roshar he is a highly sought-after [[Alethi]] blademasterweapon-master, having directly trained both of the Kholin children and [[Kaladin]] in the use of and defense against [[Shardblade]]s. His familiarity with wielding Shardblades presumably was honed by using Nightblood, a very powerful Shardblade.
