There are other places where Splinters must exist that we know less about as of yet. The Shard Ambition is known to have been Splintered by Odium,{{au ref|threnody}} so it stands to reason that Splinters of that Shard exist somewhere in the cosmere. A few may exist even in the Threnodite system itself, as we know that chunks of Ambition's power were torn off there. Additionally the Cognitive Shadows present that are locally referred to as shades may be Splinters. Another open ended question is whether or not the shadesweak Cognitive Shadows known to manifest on Threnody which are Cognitive Shadows contain a Splinter or not.
