I can't think of another example of a non-Skimmer Coinshot making a steel bubble (and it'd seem a little weird to me if there was, since we haven't gotten a MB book since Brandon's comments about backpedaling on it being a resonance), so I removed that bit, but it can be added back in if there's a reference. Resonances arise from the nature of how [[Shard]]s combine.{{wob ref|8115}} They are not simply a combination of the two base powers, but rather a separate, more distinctive, effect.{{book ref|mb5|part=ars}} The combination of powers can also cause slight variances in how the base powers are manifested, which is why [[Knights Radiant]] of different orders may manifest their shared [[Surge]]s slightly differently.{{wob ref|1524}} The longer a person uses their two powers, the more likely they are to acquire a resonance.{{wob ref|9494}}
An individual with many powers, such as a [[Allomancy|Mistborn]] or Full [[Feruchemist]], may lose this added effect.{{wob ref|3959}} With so many powers, the individual powers effectively wash out any resonance. It is still possible for such people to have a resonance, but it would be much less pronounced.{{wob ref|12608}} Temporarily gaining additional powers, such as from the [[Bands of Mourning]], would not deprive someone of a resonance they previously had.
