More important even, Urteau is the location of one of the [[Lord Ruler]]'s storage caches. ▲Urteau is of rather large importance as it used to be situated upon the canals, which means that the family Venture, who had ownership of the city, had control over every shipment of marchandise that needed to get to oher cities (particularly, Luthadel). In a world where ships are one of the very little ways, if not the only one, to transport heavy marchandise at a reasonable speed, it is easy to realize that through taxes and other fees, the city would have quickly risen as one of the most important ones in the area. At the time of the Mistborn era though, the canals are but dry, empty dykes used as roads and where the homeless skaas can spend the night.
▲Which is why Elend sent Spook, also known as Lestibournes, to the city of Urteau to gauge the political climat.
