In the millenia since the abandonment of Urithiru and the [[Recreance]] the Sibling has been "slumbering" according to the Stormfather, who refuses to reveal more information because of the way his siblings were harmed by mankind in the past.{{book ref|sa3|111}}

We know that the Stormfather is intimately connected to Honor, and the Nightwatcher has a similar connection to Cultivation. This suggests that the Sibling is tied to Odium in the same way, or that, like the shared creation of humans on Scadrial, the SIbling was a joint creation of Honor and Cultivation. A fact pointing to the former interpretation is that despite [[:File:TWoK Rear Endsheet.jpg |the endsheet diagram]] believed to represent Voidbinding containing ten 'orders' and ten 'surges', Voidbinders are said to come in only nine varieties.
