However, I don't think killing a Shard splinters it's power. I think the splintering of the shard was a purposeful act by Odium: "...and that which they held has been Splintered. Presumably to prevent anyone from rising up to challenge Rayse." (Letter)

* I recorded the WOB somewhere here, but B said that if Odium went to Scadriel he would have a hard time seeing metal. I dont think it is a result of Shard Intent. I think the resulting magic is a combination of the Focus (controlled by the planet) and the Intent.
