It was later revealed that he had been watched by the [[Steel Inquisitors]] and they had 'recruited' him, turning him into an Inquisitor using [[Hemalurgy]]. He continued to aid the rebellion, including killing the other Inquisitors in [[Luthadel]] when [[Vin]] was assaulting the Lord Ruler, and ultimately helping her to succeed. He later led [[Sazed]] to the n[[Conventical of Seran]] where they found the metal plate on which [[Kwaan]] had recorded his last words. Eventually the influence of [[Ruin]] overcame Marsh and he was unable to fight to aid Vin and [[Elend]] even until the very end of [[the Hero of Ages]], when he killed Elend.
