'''''Stones Unhallowed''''' is the original working title for the third book in [[The Stormlight Archive]], Brandon has also mentioned "Skybreakers" as a working title, as he feels that Stones Unhallowed is too similar to the title of Patrick Rothfuss' "Doors of Stone", which is expected to be released about the same time.{{tor ref|the-title-for-brandon-sandersons-second-stormlight-archive-book-has-been-revealed|Words of Radiance press release|date=2013-02-28}} It is currently planned to be released mid to late 2016.{{bws ref|state-of-the-sanderson-december-2014|State of the Sanderson: December 2014|date=2014-12-18}}

 

Brandon wrote a few "exploratory scenes" for "''Stones Unhallowed''" during the summer of 2014, however he didn't start in earnest on the book until June 2015. He plans to spend the rest of the year on it.
