Gaz has a beard, but his face is scarred so it only grows in patches. He has a single brown eye and does not wear an eyepatch over his missing one (This changes at one point after his desertion, when Shallan meets him he is described as wearing an eyepatch). He is described as being very short for an Alethi man.
Gaz is a greedy man who, like most bullies, quickly backs down when confronted. For some reason he has to pay back debts to [[Lamaril]]. He is among the more antagonistic towards [[Kaladin]], often taking special delight in attempting to kill off [[Bridge Four]]. He does, however, accept Kaladin's bribes so that Kaladin can stay in control of Bridge Four.
