Rock is a member of Bridge Four, and the first man to follow [[Kaladin]], after Kaladin takes his place at the front of a bridge run.
He ended up on the [[Shattered Plains]] his ''nuatoma'' challenged [[Sadeas]] for his [[Shardplate]]. His ''nuatoma'' lost, and his household, where Rock was the cook, was given to Sadeas. Rock became a bridgeman because he cooked chull dung into all of Sadeas's food.
