Historia
Dismissive of the native Pahn Kahl, his crewmates founded a kingdom on the site and named it Hanald. They elected Vo's wife, who was pregnant with his child, as their queen.wb

The new citizens of Hanald capitalized on the presence of the Tears of Edgli, which only grew in the soil in that area, to make cheap colorfast dyes. The area became a prosperous trade center, both through its port on the sea and its northern mountain passes, and the royal family turned their attention to the development of Awakening. Tensions between Hanald and its neighbors began to increase due to these factors; for one, their stranglehold on the world's dye economy caused resentment to grow against them. Major discoveries in the art of Awakening also worsened relations and led to the expansion of many nations' armies. Eventually, what was to become known as the Manywar broke out. Hanald's main rivals, Kuth and Huth, were destroyed in the war, and Hanald itself was renamed a variation of its old name. The kingdom of Hallandren was born in its place when Peacegiver established the line of the God Kings. Hanald's former royal lineage fled to the mountains and established the kingdom of Idris.wb
