(The sourced WOB does not explicitly say that she is still alive. She could have been seen in a flashback (Kal, Shallan or prologue). I don't think we should mention that she is alive unless a better source is added. I'm not sure if sourcing the scene where Dalinar sees only 1 connection missing from Nale is appropriate to claim her alive or not,.)

As a [[Herald]], Chanaranach is immortal and capable of returning from death, though at the cost of a Desolation.{{book ref|sa3|38}} She was a capable fighter, and wielded an [[Honorblade]] that made her a [[Surgebinder]], granting her the use of the [[Surge]]s of [[Division]] and [[Abrasion]].{{book ref|sa1|part=ars}} She has discarded her Blade, however, leaving her without Surgebinding.{{book ref|sa1|part=prelude}}
