Arturo approaches Alanik again, asking why she fights the Superiority. She answers and asks him the same. The next day, Alanik helps Jorgen practice his cytonic abilities, helping him reach out and listen further.

;Plot Summary
Alanik listens in on Quilan’s communications, knowing that he’s trying to stall the Superiority while he tries to capture her. Rig activates the shield system and finishes repairing Alanik’s ship, and Jorgen decides to try to use the platform’s taynix-powered weapons system. They place Boomslug in the box, Jorgen concentrating on a direction, and prompting Boomslug to activate his abilities. A massive mindblade shoots out of the platform, tearing through the miasma and amplified somehow. They discuss how to rescue Rinakin, the humans suggesting more aggressive plans than Alanik is comfortable with. In the end, they decide to move Wandering Leaf outside Tower tree, and allow Alanik and Arturo to go in stealthily to rescue Rinakin.

;Plot Summary
Rig, Jorgen, and Alanik gather in the control room to hyperjump, Skyward Flight and the Independence pilots ready in the hangar. They use the taynix to hyperjump outside Tower, one of the biggest UrDail trees. The pilots got into the air, members of Skyward Flight using taynix to teleport everyone outside the range of the platform’s turrets. Quilan and the other cytonics arrived, leaving the Council tree open and no longer inhibited. Alanik gives Naga the coordinates, and both her and Arturo hyperjump to a position just outside the Council tree.
