She was put into a coma by the Librarians during the [[Siege of Mokia]].{{book ref|a4|16}} While infiltrating the [[Highbrary]], Alcatraz found the antidote and dropped into the ventilation to deliver it to Bastille.{{book ref|a5|20}}
At the end of [[Alcatraz Versus the Dark Talent|Alcatraz's fifth book]], she wrote a note promising to finish the story. The note was signed "Bastille Smedry," indicating she and Alcatraz may have gotten married.{{book ref|a5|part=Bastille's Letter}} This is further corroborated by Alcatraz's noting across the series that she's looking over his shoulder as he writes. He also points out in chapter 24601 of [[The Shattered Lens|book four]] that he and Bastille weren't directly related "at that point."{{book ref|a4|24601}}
