Definitely could be a difference in American/British English - my concern with that one sentence is that there's a lot of uses of the word ''the'' really close together and it sounds quite repetitve when read aloud. Perhaps it's worth changing the start of the sentence entirely? Maybe, 'Modern day Purelakers are more likely...' ? What do you think?
