Lorenzo was responding to a shooting in a restaurant in Manhattan with a number of other police officers when Dreamer, in the guise of an old woman, distracted him and [[Bolting|Bolted]] into his body. After a brief struggle, Dreamer was able to overcome Lorenzo's soul to take control of his body. Lorenzo had been singing a song in his head and thinking about an unknown woman when Dreamer possessed him, and Dreamer got a fleeting impression of those thoughts at the beginning of the possession. Claiming that he was pursuing a lead to placate the other police officers, Dreamer ran out of the restaurant. using Lorenzo's body to pursue Phi, another poltergeist in Dreamer's gaming group.
Dreamer used Lorenzo's position as a police lieutenant to get intelligence about Phi's whereabouts in order to catch him and beat him at their game. When [[Marks (Dreamer)|another police officer]] spotted Phi's current body, Dreamer used Lorenzo to encourage him to shoot to kill. Upon catching up to Phi, Dreamer shot at him, hitting several bystanders and noting that Lorenzo was skilled with a gun. When Phi possessed Marks, another police officer, Lorenzo's natural athleticism allowed Dreamer to dodge out of the way of Phi's gunfire. Dreamer then used Lorenzo's microphone to sow confusion by telling the other police that Marks had been working with Phi's previous body. Dreamer continued to pursue Phi into a building next to the target building where [[Longshot]] was hiding, using Lorenzo's police credentials to get past the security guard.
