The '''storage caverns''' are five caches of supplies, left behind by the [[Lord Ruler]], and hidden in caverns beneath certain cities in the [[Final Empire]], left behind by the [[Lord Ruler]]. Each one contains a metal plate giving the location of the next cavern, and providingprovides some advice or information from the Lord Ruler. Every cache containedcontains a large supply of food and grain, but each one also hadhas its own specialty.

The first cavern was discovered is beneath [[Luthadel]] itself.{{book ref|mb2|57}}

The other caverns wereare in [[Statlin City]],{{book ref|mb2|57}}, [[Urteau]],{{book ref|mb3|12}}, [[Vetitan]],{{book ref|mb3|5}} and [[Fadrex City]]{{book ref|mb3|5}}, and discovered in this order. <br>

Each cavern wasis in a rocky area, near metal mines, beneath a building of the [[Steel Ministry]]. The metal underground shieldedshields the caches from [[Ruin]], to prevent him from discovering them.{{book ref|mb3|63}} <br>

All caches wereare in or near the Central Dominance, with Luthadel's cavern in the center, and the other four forming a box around it.{{book ref|mb3|63}}

Every discovered cache wasis bigger than the previous one.{{book ref|mb3|5}} The Lord Ruler started constructing them after eight hundred years ofinto his reign.{{book ref|mb3|48}}

The first cavern wasis discovered beneath [[Luthadel]], hidden within [[Kredik Shaw]].{{book ref|mb2|57}} Like all caches, it containedcontains many shelves of canned food. A large metal plaque hunghangs on the wall, depicting a map of the Final Empire with a circle around Statlin City, the location of the next storage cavern.{{book ref|mb2|57}} A long tunnel leads from the storage cavern to a smaller room which holds the [[Well of Ascension]].{{book ref|mb2|58}}

[[Vetitan]] wasis home to the fourth cavern.{{book ref|mb3|63}} Its metal plate revealedreveals the existence of [[malatium]], that [[koloss]] and [[kandra]] can be controlled by using strong emotional [[Allomancy]], and told about the existence of [[malatium]], and also a warning that only one's thoughts are safe from Ruin.{{book ref|mb3|5}}

The fifth and last cavern wasis situated in [[Fadrex City]].{{book ref|mb3|63}} Notably, no useful information wasis left here, besides the Lord Ruler's words "I have hidden his body well",{{book ref|mb3|48}}, referring to Ruin's godmetalthe [[atium]], Ruin's godmetal, that wasis stored in the [[Trustwarren]].{{book ref|mb3|81}}.
