Necessary page?

While reading a different fantasy book, I discovered that psionic is an actual, if little used, word. Wikipedia defines it as " the study of paranormal phenomena in relation to the application of electronics". Other sources like the Oxford dictionary define it as "Relating to or denoting the practical use of psychic powers or paranormal phenomena". Since it's a real word, do we really need a stubby article for it? --Thegatorgirl00 (talk) 12:59, 22 December 2017 (MST)

I would say it depends on how much the in-world psionics match the real world usage, but I'm happy to merge if it makes sense. and if there's only some minor quibbles I'd be happy to merge it into a subsection of some other page (cytonics?) with a link to wikipedia. --Joe ST (talk) 13:14, 22 December 2017 (MST)
The word psionics is only used twice in the story, and both instances seem pretty interchangeable with cytonics. Since it's possible (and my personal opinion) that Skyward will be in the Defending Elysium universe, it's probably better to wait until we get confirmation one way or another. If they are in the same universe, we should just wait and not mess with it. If not, we probably won't get any more info and should merge it. --Thegatorgirl00 (talk) 22:17, 22 December 2017 (MST)
