Stephen regularly binges on all kinds of information so that his aspects can tell it to him later.{{book ref|legion3|8}}

Typically, Stephen's aspects stay in their rooms in his [[Stephen Leeds' mansion|mansion]], accompanying him when necessary. Sometimes, however, he will call them all together to a large white room in order to have the expertise on every subject to solve more difficult problems. Manifesting many aspects at once is mentally taxing for Stephen and can make it much harder for his mind to uphold the illusion of their reality. As such, he uses the white room to deprive him of most stimuli and focus his mental energy on the aspects.{{book ref|legion2|8}}

As Stephen's aspects aren't truly real, they can't interact with real-world objects. If an interaction is enforced, such as Stephen tossing a phone to an aspect, his mind will cover what really happened or make up an excuse for why it did, such as the aspect fumbling the phone.{{book ref|legion3|2}} If his mind fails to do so, it can result in an incongruency that is disconcerting for both him and the aspect.{{cite}}

Stephen uses his abilities to solve cases as a private detective. He calls himself a specialist- one who specializes in many different areas.{{book ref|legion2|1}}
