'''Shallan Davar''' is a character from the series [[The Stormlight Archive]].
Shallan Davar is from [[Jah Keved]], a member of the [[Vorinism#Devotaries|Devotary]] of Purity. She is a [[Soulcaster]] and currently receiving training from [[Jasnah]]. She is in possession of a [[Shardblade]]<ref>The Way of Kings, Chapter 7 - "A long, silvery sword in her hand, sharp enough to cut stones as if they were water."</ref><ref>The Way of Kings, Chapter 7 - "Ten heartbeats, to bring forth the fruit of her sin, the proceeds of her most horrific act."</ref>. She is also known to have murdered her father.
Shallan is considered shy by her family, but when she leaves the family estates behind, she opens up and gains confidence. She has a quick wit, and often unthinkingly utters the first thing to come to mind.
Shallan begins studying with Jasnah, and develops a friendship with the ardent [[Kabsal]].
