== Medallions ==
Connection can be accessed by wearing [[unsealed metalminds]]. These medallions are worn by a person who is in a land that is not their own, and they are then able to speak the language of the place they are in. A person wearing their medallion in their own land will still speak their own language, not the language of the person they are communicating with. Occasionally, words do not translate fully.
== Ascension ==
Connection to a [[shard]] is required to acend. Improper connection decreases the [[vessel]]'s ability to control the powers and weakens the vessel's power. Connection to the paired opposite of a shard makes it difficult to maintain ascension.
